Recently, Tinora Elementary experienced a heartwarming and energetic pep rally, uniting students, staff, and community members to celebrate a significant milestone in the Tinora Elementary Playground Project. The highlight of the event was the announcement of a remarkable $200,000 donation from the Bruce Fortier Trust, propelling our fundraising total beyond $245,000. This generous gift brings us even closer to our ultimate goal of $300,000, moving us forward in our mission to create a new, inclusive playground for all students.
The excitement was felt as the entire elementary school gathered in the gym for this joyous occasion. Students ran through a tunnel of high-fives from high school students and Rambo, setting an uplifting tone for the celebration. We were thrilled to welcome middle school cheerleaders and high school students, including the Tinora Band, who energized the crowd with upbeat songs and renditions of the school fight song.
The moment everyone had been waiting for came when our elementary principal, Mr. Tipton, announced the incredible donation. Students held up signs displaying the $200,000 amount, and the gym erupted in cheers and applause, showcasing the excitement and hope for the future of our Elementary playground.
Students and Elementary teachers volunteered for an intense game of musical chairs. The gym was filled with cheers as one lucky high school student was declared the winner, perfectly capturing the spirit of the day. The excitement and joy in the gym highlighted just how much this playground project means to our students and the broader community.
