INTERIM REPORT GRADES
Remember that interim grades will not be sent home with the students this year. Parents can check grades at any time during the grading period on the Tinora.org website. Papers were sent home with the login and password information. This login procedure has changed from last year. You are required to create an account prior to your first login.
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
START AND END OF DAY
Students are not allowed in the building until 7:45 A.M. The first bell of the day will ring at 8:00 A.M. with the tardy bell ringing at 8:10 A.M. The dismissal bells start at 3:10 P.M. with the last bell at 3:12 P.M.
PARKING LOT PROCEDURES
Please observe and follow the arrows as painted. Enter only at the south entrance and exit only at the north access. If you are coming inside, please park your car in one of the white marked parking spots during drop-off and pick-up times. Please do not leave your car unattended along the curb. There should be no double parking at any time. Please keep the non-curbside lane moving. Watch out for students as you proceed through the lot. Thanks for your cooperation.
ILLNESS & HEALTH INFORMATION
FLU SEASON & ABSENCES
We are working with the Defiance County Health Department to monitor flu and other health conditions. In addition, we suggest that you teach your child to wash their hands with soap and water, to cough or sneeze using their elbow or sleeve, and to use only their personal items, including food utensils and straws.
ATTENDANCE
If your child/children will be absent from school, a parent/guardian must call the school to report the absence by 9:00am. When calling them in ill, please also give the nature of their illness due to the report that needs to be given to the health department. Also, you will need to send in a note explaining the absence. Your child/children will be counted unexcused if we do not receive a call or a note.
If your child arrives after the tardy bell (8:10am), he/she will be counted as tardy. Waking up late is not an acceptable reason to be late to school and will be counted as an unexcused tardy. An acceptable reason would be a dental/doctor appointment.
Students with an excessive amount of unexcused absences or tardies WILL be referred to
the county truant officer.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast is available every regular scheduled morning at 7:45 A.M. It will not be served on days with a 2 hour delay.
AFTER SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION CHANGES FOR STUDENTS
Parents are discouraged from changing after school plans for their children once their children are in school. In extreme emergencies messages from parents will be delivered to students, but such messages are time consuming and interrupting to class work. Please avoid such requests.
