There were some familiar faces on the sidelines at Tinora Flag Football on Saturday, October 3.
Members of the Tinora Varsity Football team came out to support our younger Rams and helped make their Saturday morning games a little extra special. Before the games began, the varsity players lined up to create a Green and White run-through tunnel for the Pee-Wee, JV, and Varsity flag football players.
The young players ran onto the field with the varsity team cheering them on, giving them a chance to experience a little bit of that Friday night feeling for themselves.
Having the varsity players there also gave our youngest athletes a chance to spend time around players they may someday hope to become. Many of the boys wearing Tinora jerseys on Friday nights got their own start playing football when they were young.
Supporting the flag football program is a simple way for our high school players to stay connected with the younger athletes coming up behind them and continue building the tradition of Tinora Football.
It turned out to be a pretty good Saturday for the Rams all around. While the varsity players were supporting flag football, the Tinora JV Football team was also in action at home, picking up a win over Antwerp.
Thank you to our varsity players for spending part of their Saturday morning cheering on the next generation of Rams!
