PARENT INFORMATION

ATTENDANCE

Attendance is extremely important in order for your child to be successful in school. While we realize some absences are necessary, we encourage you to set a good example and have your child at school each day possible. Our normal day at Noble begins at 8:20am. Students arriving after that time are counted tardy.

SECURITY

All Tinora buildings have security systems put in place during the school day.  Once the hot weather breaks, Noble will be locking all doors between 8:30am and 2:45pm.  You will need to enter through the north door.  To activate the monitor in the office, press the silver button.  You will be advised to enter the building.  You will hear the left door buzz, unlocking that door only.  We appreciate your understanding as we make our schools a safer place.

BREAKFAST

Noble breakfast program is from 8:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. The cost is $1.50. Students that are dropped off in the morning will be allowed in the building starting at 8:00 A.M. to eat breakfast. Students arriving by bus will come directly to the cafeteria.

NOTE:  Breakfast will not be served on days with a 2 hour delay.

DISMISSAL & PARKING PROCEDURES

If your child’s transportation changes for the day, please send a note with your child or call the school office by 11:00am. We cannot accommodate requests made after that time.

DELAYS & CANCELLATIONS

You will be notified by the Instant Alert System of delays or cancellations. You can modify your instant alert profile by logging onto https://instantalert.honeywell.com and select “parent”. Delays and cancellations are also announced on WONW- Defiance 1280, WDFM-Defiance 98.1, WTOL- Toledo 11, and WTGV-Toledo 13.

**Special note for Early 5s Green only:

If school is delayed for 2 or more hours on a Monday, your morning session will be cancelled.

WINTER OUTDOOR RECESS

When the weather permits us to be outdoors, students need to be dressed appropriately for outdoor play.  Make sure your child has a hat (not just a hood), gloves/mittens, and a warm coat that zips or buttons.  Please make sure your child knows how to zip his/her coat.  An extra hat and pair of gloves put in their book bag is also helpful.  Boots and snow pants are required to play in the snow.

Attached are general guidelines for playing in the snow.  We want all students to have a fun and safe time at recess.
